"Crystals"

Since childhood, I have always been intrigued with the light that is reflected by crystals. This is a photo of some crystals I took off of an old chandelier that my mom was getting rid of. I always loved the crystals that hung from it, so I made a sculptural pile of them in the light from my window and took a photograph. The shot came out beautifully. I then manipulated the image in Photoshop to give it the wonderful mystical quality it has now. When I presented it framed, it was layered in glass and acetate to give it an even more glassy feel. I also love the image projected, or on a moniter, because of the quality of light that is added when shown this way.
